NORTHERN KENTUCKY SOCCER STADIUM

– Highland Heights, KY

This planned $6.5 million stadium will be constructed on land south of the current campus. The facility will include spectator seating for 1,000, competition/practice fields, artificial field surface, locker rooms, restrooms, concession area, fencing, field lighting, and a small parking lot. Also included in the project is a 12,000 sq ft stadium building/press box. Site work includes retaining walls.

PARAMOUNT’S KINGS ISLAND & CAROWINDS

– Kings Island, OH and Charlotte, NC

Steven Schaefer Associates has been working with Paramount for sixteen years on projects including new coaster foundations, coaster stations and enclosures, water parks, and renovations to numerous park buildings and game facilities. We have provided foundation design for many of the parks coasters, including The Italian Job, Delirium, Flight of Fear, Drop Zone and Runaway Reptar™. In addition, we have provided structural design for the renovation and reuse of park facilities, temporary and permanent show structures, sign and theme element foundations and framing, pedestrian bridges, and elevated pathways.

MANUEL D. AND RHODA MAYERSON JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER

– Cincinnati, OH

Steven Schaefer Associates is providing structural engineering services for the Jewish Community Center (JCC). Part of a multi-phase addition to Rockdale Temple, this particular phase includes a 12,000 sq ft indoor water park, a gymnasium with suspended running track, an elevated slab auditorium, a two-story fitness area and a three-story office with partial basement. The 115,000 sq ft complex addition encompasses a full range of basic structural concepts including composite steel beams with light weight concrete slabs, masonry bearing, double pitched top chord joists with 3” roof deck, concrete retaining walls, masonry shear walls and braced frames.  One of the unique architectural features is the ‘knuckle’ roof that extends above the main roof line, providing the connection between the various roof levels. 

RONALD REAGAN VOICE OF AMERICA PARK

– West Chester Township, OH

Steven Schaefer Associates provided the structural design for this new Boathouse & Lodge facility at the Butler County Voice of America park.  The facility includes an 8,600 sq ft reception hall/meeting room, food service area, office, and boat rental facility.  The building is wood framed with an exposed heavy timber breezeway/entry.  The project also includes a 1,100 sq ft timber gazebo supported on drilled piers, floating dock anchorage, and a concrete lake wall at the lake's edge.
